Ronnie "Ron" Carroll Moore, age 79, of Wichita Falls, met the Lord in the late hours of November 13th, 2022.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15 at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Lile officiating. Interment will follow at the Frederick Cemetery in Frederick, Oklahoma, under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Ron was born in Frederick, Oklahoma, on April 10th, 1943, to Carroll and Virginia Moore. He grew up alongside his two siblings, Pat and Wayne, and
graduated from Frederick High School in 1961, where he won "Most Handsome." Ron and Doris June Kelly grew up in the same town, and after a blind date in 1959, quickly fell madly in love, were married in 1961, and began a family of their own, having four beautiful children.
Ron was a family man and also a dedicated working man. He began his lifelong career with United Supermarkets in Oklahoma as a grocery sacker,
carry-out, and stock boy at 14 years old in Frederick. After working his way up through the company, he ended his career nearly 50 years later as a District Manager, where he spent his last 22 years with the company, traveling statewide through Oklahoma.
Raising four kids, working full-time, and being an active member of the church, Ron has been a pillar of any community he and Doris were a part of. He was well-known for his deep, reverent singing voice, one-of-a-kind humor, boisterous laugh, and unwavering faith. No matter where they lived, Ron had an active role in their congregation, singing in and directing the choir, speaking at revivals, and most notably, acting as a Worship Leader at First Baptist Guymon.
After moving his family to Enid, Oklahoma, Ron and Doris
joined the Emmanuel Baptist Church, which became their church home for the next thirty years. Many cherished memories and relationships were
formed here, and the family will never forget the many Christmas pageants the couple performed in at the church.
Since relocating to Wichita Falls, Texas, they have joined the Faith Baptist Church community. Ron's love for his family was infinite and evident to all. He was a leader, protector, and mentor to his four children, Darla, Jeff, Kenny, and Donna; his twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. His devotion, respect, and adoration for Doris were a joy to witness, and their more than 61 years of marriage have shown us all what true love really looks like. There was never a single day that Ron didn't make Doris smile and feel treasured, beautiful, and loved.
We are all deeply saddened to have to say goodbye to Ron here on earth, but we are celebrating his entrance into Heaven, where we know he is in paradise with the angels and the others who are no longer with us. We all
feel incredibly blessed to have had the time we did with such an amazing man of the Lord. Ron, you will be forever missed and loved.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Doris Moore; sister, Pat Key and husband David; sister-in-law, Glenda Moore; daughter, Darla Ryan and husband Jeff; son, Kenny Moore; son, Jeff Moore; daughter, Donna Jackson and husband Kent; grandchildren: Mark and Tammie Jackson; Ashley and Dustin Lamb, Brittany and Brenton Price, Kelsey Stone and Samuel Barbagallo; Reese Moore; Kendal Stone; Anna Thomas; Kristin and Scott Davis; Mikayla Moore; and Mason Moore; 13 great-children; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron is predeceased by his: parents, Carroll and Virginia Moore; brother, Wayne Moore; and grandson, Tyler Ryan.
The family invites all of those who knew and loved Ron to join us for the service in Wichita Falls to celebrate his life and say goodbye to him.
