Ronnie cherished his time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving spouse of 37 years, Anne Schubert Van Winkle, along with his children, Ronnie Van Winkle (Casey), Angelle Bode (Terry), and Lynn Bardales (Robbie). He was also a proud grandfather to Jacobe Van Winkle (Jaden Folse), Calen Van Winkle, Hayleigh Van Winkle, Cora Bode, Tannor Bode, Austin Bardales (Madison Sanchez), Landon Bardales, and Kohen Bardales.

Ronnie will be fondly remembered by his godchild, Janine Iwanowski, and his brother Randy Van Winkle (Marsha), as well as his sisters-in-law, Susan Jeanfreau, Patti Menesses, and Earline Brady, and brothers-in-law, Michael Menesses, and James Brady. He was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ronnie was known for his love of motorcycles, old cars, gardening, and enjoying time in front of the TV, not to mention his fondness for cocktails and handing out American Flag pins.

The family expresses a very special thanks to his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, family, friends, the Waffle House workers, along with the dedicated doctors and nurses at Ochsner, the MD Anderson Cancer Center, and St. Tammany Hospice for their support during this time. Especially his infusion nurse, he was so fond of Carrie.

Ronnie was predeceased by his father, Francis "Blue" Van Winkle, his mother, Lettie Elizabeth Woods Van Winkle, and his brother-in-law, Dennis Jeanfreau. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Dr, Mandeville, LA 70471.
