She was born in Goshen, Ohio on June 22, 1932 to the late William A. and Olga (Zouke) Torgler and married Eugene L. Baab on September 4, 1955. He died on September 1, 2021.
She attended Newcomerstown High School. She was a member of St Peter's United Church of Christ in Fiat and enjoyed working in her gardens.
She is survived by her son, Ronald "Ronnie" Baab of Baltic; her brother Herb (Helene) Torgler of Sugarcreek; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cheryl Ann; brothers, William Torgler and Richard Torgler; and sisters-in-law, Mary and Marilyn.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 11AM at Fiat Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Landaw officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
