Rosa Gomez Obituary
A prayer vigil will be held 6:30 P.M., Friday, July 23, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David Mendez officiating, followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M., recited by Deacon David Mendez. Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating, followed by burial at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Rosa was born on March 1, 1956 in Sweetwater, Texas to Martin and Luisa (Luna) Arenivas. She was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary) and also the Guadalupanas Society. She was a Sweetwater High School Graduate.
She is survived by three sisters, Ramona Torrez and Mary Pena, both of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Lydia A. Alvarado of Sweetwater, Texas, and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Luisa Arenivas, sister, Angela Guerrero, brothers, Paul Arenivas, Sr., Manuel Arenivas, Sr. and John Luna Areniboz, and nephew, Sammy Arenivas.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Rodriguez, Randy Rodriguez, Phillip Rodriguez, Sammy Torres, Ricky Heredia, and Margarito Guerrero.
