Rosa Manriquez, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by love and her family as God welcomed her into His Kingdom.
Rosa was born in 1934 in Huandacareo, Michoacan, Mexico to Timoteo Campos and Ninfa Alvarez. In her younger years she married her husband, Alfonso Manriquez. In 1967, they immigrated to Watsonville to begin their lives and raise their family. She worked for J.J. Crosetti and Watsonville Cannery for many years before she retired to care for her beloved grandchildren.
Rosa was a beautiful soul who was beloved by family and friends. Her presence was truly a gift, she was a ray of light wherever she went. Her spirit and faith will forever be felt. She was an avid walker and had a passion for gardening. She could truly nurture any plant to its most beautiful form. She was also an amazing cook and loved uniting her family through her soulful meals. Rosa was devoted to her faith and building her relationship with God. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in whom she instilled core family values built off of the foundation of faith and on creating everlasting memories within the family.
Rosa is survived by her children, Estela (Salvador) Bravo, Javier (Melly) Manriquez, Emelia (Sergio) Garcia, Ana (Frank) Olivarez, Alfonso (Marisa) Manriquez, Jr., and Pilar (Alfredo) Mendez Manriquez, her grandchildren, Maribel, Jacqueline, Alberto, Jaime, Javier, Zulma, Erik, Chris, Brandon, Andrew, Matthew, Nathanial, Sergio, Gerardo, and Josue. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Baylee, Aliyah, Alexander, Emily, Isaiah, Albert, Israel, Noah, Austin, Salvador, Bella, Amelia, Jaime, Jenissa, and James, as well as her brother, Francisco (Chay) Campos, and her sister, Trinidad (Salomon) Campos Alvarez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Manriquez, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years before his passing, her parents, Timoteo and Ninfa, her brother, Rafael.
