Isaias Torrez, de Watsonville, fallecio el 4 de octubre de 2025. Tenia 53 años.
Isaias nació el 6 de junio de 1972, en Durango, Mexico, a sus padres, Carlos Torrez Ortega y Guadalupe Yañez Perez. Isaias viajo a los Estados Unidos cuando era joven y se estableció en California.
Eventualmente, conoció al amor de su vida, Teresa Meza, y juntos tuvieron dos hijos y compartieron 11 maravillosos años, hasta su inesperado fallecimiento. Isaias trabajo con mucho empeño en Monterey Mushrooms durante 25 años, para brindar una mejor vida a su familia. Cuando no estaba trabajando, para Isaias no había nada mejor que pasar tiempo con su familia y disfrutar de la buena comida. Le encantaba llevar a sus hijos a jugar al parque, y llevar a sus perros a caminar, especialmente a su mejor amigo, Marshmallow.
A Isaias le sobreviven su amorosa pareja, Teresa Meza y sus adorados hijos Gabriel y Juanita, y sus hijos de su previa relación Noe y Deisy a quien quería mucho. Tambien le sobreviven su amada madre, Guadalupe Yañez Perez, y sus hermanos(as), Alejandra, Maricruz, Elia, Manuel, y Armando. Le precedio en la muerte su padre, Carlos Torrez Ortega.
El velorio y rosario se llevarán a cabo en Mehl's Colonial Chapel – 222 E. Lake Avenue, el martes, 21 de octubre, de las 5pm hasta las 9pm. El rosario comenzara a las 7pm. La misa fúnebre se celebrara en la iglesia Maria Auxiliadora – 2401 E. Lake Avenue, el miércoles, 22 de octubre, a las 10am. El entierro será a la conclusión de la misa en Valley Public Cemetery – 2445 E. Lake Avenue a las 11am.

Isaias Torrez, of Royal Oaks, passed away on October 4, 2025. He was 53.
Isaias was born on June 6, 1972, in Durango, Mexico, to his loving parents, Carlos Torrez Ortega and Guadalupe Yañez Perez. He traveled to the USA when he was a young man and settled in California.
Eventually, he met the love of his life, Teresa Meza, and together they had two children and shared 11 wonderful years until his unexpected passing. Isaias worked hard at Monterey Mushrooms for 25 years to provide a better life for his family. When he wasn't working, there was nothing that Isaias loved more than spending time with his family and enjoying good food. He loved taking his kids to the park to play and taking the family dogs for walks, especially his best friend, Marshmallow.
Isaias is survived by his loving partner, Teresa Meza, and his adored children, Gabriel and Juanita, and his children from his previous relationship, Noe and Deisy, whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Guadalupe Yañez Perez, and his siblings, Alejandra, Maricruz, Elia, Manuel, and Armando. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Torrez Ortega.
A viewing and rosary will be held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel – 222 E. Lake Avenue, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the rosary starting at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church – 2401 E. Lake Avenue, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery – 2445 E. Lake Avenue at 11:00 am.
