Rosa Annette Dutton of Cartersville, age 85, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Annette was born on July 10th, 1940, to the late J.T. and Estelle Wade, of Kingston, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Jamie Lynn Wade and Joan Wade Mannis. Annette is survived by her three daughters Joy Banks Jordan (Chris) of St. Augustine FL, Jan Wilburn (Joe) of Canton, GA, and Ann Chabral (Gerald) of Dallas, GA. She was proud of her grandsons Bryson Banks, Brandon Banks, Taylor Wilburn, Cameron Chabral and Alex Jordan. Annette also has four great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Annette was always a very hard-working, strong woman and raised her daughters to be the same. Her careers included accounting with an insurance company for many years before pursuing several personal business interests including antiquing, pet sitting, merchandise re-sale, among others. She wasn’t afraid to try anything and hustled with a purpose.
Everyone who knew her, knew exactly what she was thinking and how she felt…. Always! She made sure of that! She will easily be remembered as the sassy, feisty, opinionated red head.
Cooking, especially desserts, was one of her favorite past times. Her altering of recipes always resulted in a surprise…. good or bad. Gambling was another hobby, whether it be the Georgia Lottery, scratch-offs or slot machines in the casinos, she loved them all and was determined to win! Her weekly ‘thrifting’ kept her busy. Her favorite place to shop was the Cartersville Bartow County Community Church Shop. Donations can be made in her honor at 21 West Main Street, Cartersville GA 30120 or mail checks to P.O. Box 1252.
She loved her family gatherings and was always the life of the party. Annette (Rosa/Mama/Mawmaw) will be truly missed by her special friends and loving family.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
