Rosalee R. Evanson

Rosalee Evanson, 85, passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Rosalee was also referred to affectionately as "Mom", "G-ma", "Lee", and "Lady". Born on January 1, 1940, she had an ever-vibrant spirit. Lee was a proud Catholic and lived her life according to her faith.
She led an adventurous life, from growing up on her family's farm in Iowa to living in Nevada, New Mexico, and Southern California, before settling in Georgia. (However, we all knew her favorite was Vegas, she would often say "West is best.") She was an avid sports lover, so much so that by fate she met the manager of the then Brooklyn Dodgers on a girls trip, which sparked her lifelong love of the now Los Angeles Dodgers. Her love for Dean Martin's timeless music often played at home, where she spent time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and bake for her family, and her delicious recipes will forever be known as "Grandma's".
Lee's greatest pride was her family, whom she adored and nurtured with warmth and kindness. She was a beacon of love and strength, always ready with a funny quip and a listening ear. We find comfort in knowing she has now been reunited with the love of her life, Ron, and her beautiful daughter, Candace. Her worldly legacy will live on through her sister, Sharon, and children, Jeff (Lori), Dean (Amanda), and Scott (Vicki), as well as her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Lee touched countless lives, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
A celebration of Lee's life will be held, where family and friends can gather to share stories and honor the remarkable woman she was. The service will be at Peachtree Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 on Saturday, the 26th of April, 2025, at 11:15 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
