Rosalie Ann Hames

Rosalie Ann Hames, age 86, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in her home. She was the beloved wife of 34 years to the late Harold Hames. Rosalie was born in Bridgeport on July 21, 1938, daughter of the late George and Ann (Feltovic) Banas, and lived in Shelton for over 50 years.
She will always be remembered for her kindness and her heart warming laugh. She loved playing Words With Friends and the occasional outing to the casino. Rosalie loved roses and the color blue.
She is survived by her sister, Agnes Quaranta, nieces and nephews Gary Quaranta (Jo-Ann), Frank Quaranta (Joanne), Isadore Quaranta (Karen), Annmarie Arsenault (Rich), Steven Zenobia, and Cindy Shellenberger (Rohn), her step-children Harold, Joni-Lynn, and Pamela, and many great-nieces and nephews. Rosalie was predeceased by a sister, Anne Zenobia.
Friends are invited to greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Friday from 10 AM to 11 AM. Her funeral service will begin in the parlor at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery in Derby.
