Rosalie Cecile McAdams passed away at her home on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 82.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday August 2, 2025 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Rosalie was born on December 3, 1942 in Galveston TX to Frank and Barbara Froeschl. She was the youngest of 8 children and a first generation American. After graduating from Texas City High School in 1960, Rosalie married and settled in Texas City. She raised two children while working for many years at Mainland Bank. Later in life, she moved to Houston and went to work for the FDIC, then US Immigration and Naturalization Service, and finally the FBI where she retired in 2015.
She then spent her retirement traveling, cheering for the Astros, and caring for the people she loved.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Welsh; parents, Frank and Barbara Froeschl; brothers, Charles, Frank Jr, Leo, and Robert; sisters, Barbara Blakely and Hilda Mason.
She is survived by her son, John McAdams (Amy); son-in-law, David Welsh; grandchildren, Robert, Angel, and Sean; sister, Trudy Hosek; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
