Rosalind M. (Moran) Cusano
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday evening January 26, 2025 in her home at the age of 95.
Born on July 22, 1929 in Newton; daughter of the late James B. Moran and Margaret (Mayo) Moran and stepdaughter of Ellen Moran. Rosalind was raised in Newton, where she resided until her marriage when she moved to Waltham in 1951 and has resided ever since in the Lakeview area.
Over the years Rosalind had been an active and devoted member of the John M. Sullivan Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #10334 Ladies Auxiliary on Trapelo Road in Waltham. She was passionate about Veterans causes and volunteered in numerous ways to help out those in the Veteran community. She served in many different capacities while being a member including, Treasurer, Vice-President and President.
Throughout the years Rosalind had many different hobbies and interests including, reading, crossword puzzles, watching football and jeopardy, but she loved to go dancing with her husband and her many trips to Foxwoods.
Rosalind was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert L. Cusano in 2018.
She is survived by her devoted & loving children Ellen L. Blackman and her husband Michael of Saugus; her twin sons Louis R. Cusano and David R. Cusano both of Waltham; her dear brother Richard Moran of Wellesley; and her bother-in-law Donald Cusano of Waltham. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews and her extended family the Cusano's.
She was predeceased by her dear siblings Viriginia Rivet, James B. Moran Jr. and Eulalia Rogers.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Rosalind and her family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on SATURDAY morning February 1st prior to the funeral service from 9:00am until 11:00 am. Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Rosalind's life to remember the love and friendship she shared with so many others at a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on SATURDAY morning February 1st at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Saint Bernard Cemetery in Concord.
