It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carole Marie Cappadona on September 28, 2025 at the age of 79 in South Yarmouth. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 30, 1946 to John and Mildred Jones, she was a beacon of warmth, light, strength and humor from the very beginning. She graduated from Sacred Heart School in Roslindale, Fontbonne Academy in Milton and attended Regis College in Weston.

In 1967, she married her beloved husband, Joe, and together they built a beautiful life and family over 57 years. She was the devoted mother of P.J. Cappadona and served as a wonderful source of guidance and unwavering support as a cornerstone of their lives.

Candy, as she was known to everyone, was known for her humor, carefully detailed holidays and celebrations, love of the beach, care for family and always putting others before herself. Her kind spirit and deep passion for family was at the center of everything she did. Her home was always perfect – nothing out of place, immaculate and beautifully decorated for every season and holiday.

After spending a number of years at home, she returned to work and was a dedicated colleague to many in the Newton Public Schools where she most enjoyed being the school secretary at Angier School in Waban doing everything possible to make each day go well for teachers, administrators, parents and her favorite thing – the students.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Joe; their son P.J. and his wife Christine of Scituate and her grandchildren, Thomas, Jack and Peter. She is also survived by her loving cousin Denise Shea and her husband David Shea. Candy was preceded in death by her parents, her loving Aunt and Uncle Isabel and Frank Koelsch, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Katherine Cappadona.

Details regarding her funeral service can be found below. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation at CCHC Foundation, PO Box 370 Hyannis, MA 02601.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Carole and her family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on FRIDAY October 3rd prior to the funeral service from 9am until 11am. For those who wish to pay their final respects, but are unable to attend, please be sure to sign the guestbook at www.BrascoFuneralhome.com. Parking attendants will be on duty.
