Rosalind Louise Wynne transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly reward on July 2, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the union of Willa Mae Moore and Reverend Arnold Dwight "Gatemouth" Moore.
As a young girl, Rosalind moved to
Topeka, Kansas, to live with her beloved grandmother, Georgia Porter Moore. She attended Topeka Public Schools and graduated from Topeka High School in 1960.
Rosalind dedicated more than 35 years of service to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas. Her heart for helping others extended beyond the workplace, as she also served as a foster parent-opening her heart and home to children in need. Later, she continued her service to the community through a fulfilling role at the Kansas Highway Patrol, where she retired with honor.
Rosalind accepted Jesus Christ, the Son of God, early in life and lived as a devoted woman of faith. She was a faithful and active member of the historic Saint Mark's AME Church, where she joyfully brought her grandchildren every Sunday. She ensured they were involved in church life, including choir and youth ministry. Rosalind was known for her unwavering faith, loving spirit, and the rare gift of being a kind and compassionate listener to all who crossed her path.
She deeply loved her family and especially cherished her grandchildren, always offering strength, wisdom, and comfort.
Rosalind was a devoted mother to her only son, Bryan Clinton Wynne Sr. She was a grandmother who loved all her grandchildren dearly. She held a special spot in her heart for each and every one of them. 'Bamma' Unbeknownst to her at the time, the Lord would also bless her with the joyous, challenging, and ultimately rewarding task of raising her granddaughters: LaPresha Wynne, Sophia Wynne Thomas, Emma Parker and Latriece Wynne. What began as a challenge became one of her greatest joys. She nurtured them with the same steady love, faith, and guidance that shaped every part of her life.
Rosalind's legacy is one of faith, service, love, and resilience-a life well-lived and richly blessed. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rosalind was preceded in death by her grandmother, Georgia Porter Moore, and her parents Willa Mae Moore and Reverend Arnold Dwight "Gatemouth" Moore her beloved son, Brian Clinton Wynne Sr, her brothers Clark Edward Guice and Robert Otis Wright.
She is survived by her aunt Lorenza Porter Brown; siblings: Arnell D Moore-Bevell (James), Sheila Jackson (Dennis), Georgette Gordon (Dwight), Arnold Dwight Moore Jr and Armand D Moore; 6 Grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
