Rosaline King, 84, of Westport, passed away at 5:24 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. She was born on March 17, 1939, in Columbus, the daughter of William Donald and Delpha Lavah (Romine) Tuttle. She was a lifelong resident of Bartholomew and Decatur Counties. She graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1956 and worked for Cosco Manufacturing Co. for 20 years. She was a member of the Westport Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls. She married James Richard King in North Vernon, on April 13, 1959, and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Lavah (Gregory) Cunningham of Westport; her sons, Richard Dean (Melinda) King of Hope, Robert Alan King, and Rodney Joe (Nicole) King both of Westport; her sister, Phyllis Ruth (Jerry) Clarkson of North Vernon; her brother, Stan Edwin Tuttle of Scipio; her 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim King and her brothers, Robert Earl Tuttle and Donald Ray Tuttle. The funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
