It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosanne Mathisen, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished Gigi who went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2024. She passed away, surrounded by her loving family, after a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Born on January 16, 1943, Rosanne was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew her. She was a loving wife to her husband Jack, and together they shared many adventures exploring the great outdoors in their RV. Camping under the stars and embarking on road trips with her beloved brother-in-law Donnie and sister-in-law Sandy who brought her immense joy and countless cherished memories.
But above all, she treasured her family. She was a devoted grandmother who poured her love and affection into her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lifelong bonds and unforgettable moments together. Her home was always filled with booming laughter and warmth. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all fortunate enough to know her.
Rosanne is survived by her loving family, including her son Ralph (Pat), her daughter Shannon (Mando), and her youngest son Bryan (Jeri). She was the adoring grandmother of Dalanie, Lindsay (Jason), Elliot (Chelsea), Ryan (Alyssa), and Cecily (Anthony), and the cherished Gigi of Riley, Jaxon, Tyson, Corbin, Jack, Dublin, AJ, August, and Witten.
She is also survived by her sisters Louise (Waukeene) Vinson, her brother John D Hart, and Janis (Kenny) Wilson, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack, her loving mother Edna, her father Hugh, and her dear sister Janet (Don).
The viewing for Rosanne will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 6-8 pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home, located at 12497 Leopard, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
Funeral services and a celebration of life will take place Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 10 am at Annaville Baptist Church, 4025 Violet Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. Following the service, a reception will be held at ABC, providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together, offer support, and honor a life well lived.
Rosanne now rest with our Lord Jesus Christ in eternal peace, and may her memory shine brightly in our hearts forever.
