Roscoe "Cotton" Collins, Jr.-age 73 of Maynardville passed away Thursday morning, October 16, 2025 at Turkey Creek Medical Center. He was a member of the Church of God at Maynardville. Preceded in death by parents, Roscoe and Mossie (Vandergriff) Collins; brothers, Bootsie Collins, Joe Collins, Harley Collins, Roy Collins, Robert Vandergriff, Gary James Wood, Earl Collins and Roger Collins, Sr.; sisters, Geraldine Bailey, Laura Bailey and Thelma Wood.
Survivors, sister, Edna Perry of Luttrell; special niece and caregiver, Eva McMillan of Maynardville; special niece, Vickie Gibbons of Knoxville. Several other nieces and nephews along with a host of other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Charles McClure officiating with music by Billie McClure. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Dyer Cemetery, Powder Springs. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1 p.m. to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Jason Coffey, Justin Poindexter, Christie Haynes, Mary Chandler, Emma Coffey, Anthony Nicley. Honorary Pallbearers: Clyde Coffey, Bradley Nicley, Matthew Nicley. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
