Rose Battenberg Obituary
Rose was born on September 12, 1924, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Oran and Blanche Leavell. She was married to Russell Battenberg on May 17, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Battenberg of Santa Rosa and daughter, Sandra De Natale (Ron De Natale) of Healdsburg.
Rose was very proud to have 10 siblings, Ruth Fritz, Annamae Adams, John Leavell, Betty Hill (Rose), Fred Leavell, Elsie Love, Hazel Thomas, Carl Leavell, Elberta Lindabary and Mary Brown. She was also proud of her contribution to World War II efforts working at Bowser's in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
After moving to California in 1949, Rose was proud to be a Sunday School Teacher, on the alter guild, 4-H leader and volunteer on the election board in her community of Rio Linda, CA.
As a senior, moving to Santa Rosa in 1986, Rose was very involved volunteering as activity director in her mobile home park and hostess for two bus touring companies.
