Rose Berg Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 27, 2024.
Obituary of Rose Marie Berg
Rose Marie Berg (Sanders) age 97 of Bloomington passed away peacefully in the company of her beloved daughters, Patty and Karen, on December 17, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband and fishing guide, Sidney.
She is survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 10 (soon to be 11) great grandchildren, and many other dear relatives and friends.
Rose was a feisty mother bear, sticking up for her children and grandchildren against all comers. When not in defensive mode, she was generous beyond measure, a great cook, and an exceptional polka dance-instructor.
We will meet again, Mom/Grammy Rose. Beyond pain, beyond sadness, beyond all the cares of this world, we will meet again! Please save a place on your dance card for each of us.
A poem written by Rose's beloved son Dick (and favorite dancing partner) says it all:
Snuggled up close
a chair for one
Snuggled up close
Mother and Son
Held so close
not just the chair
Held so close
by love they share
Times so special
are quickly past
The moment's gone
but feelings last
The Son grows
and soon moves on
The Mother stays
not really gone
Snuggled up close
and always there
Snuggled up close
without the chair
A memorial will be held Friday January 3, 2025, 11:00am at:

Dan Patch Hall
