Rose Lorusso Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mount Scott Funeral Home - Portland on Mar. 19, 2026.
Rose Mary Lorusso of Portland, Oregon passed away Monday, March 9, 2026. She was 96 years old.

As sad as we all are today, she would tell all of us that she led a wonderful life and was grateful that she was able to see her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow up. They were her most treasured legacy. She was married to Joe Lorusso for 54 years and they enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. She was very active volunteering. She volunteered for Loaves & Fishes, and her Sorority, Alpha Zeta Beta. Her bowling took her to different cities and states where she competed and she also played volleyball until she was 65. She had a passion for cards, teaching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren her favorite card games.

She is survived by her children: Linda Walsh (Steve), Sarah VanGordon (Paul), and Ralph Lorusso (Rena); 5 Grandsons and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Rose was simply a giver and in return she was blessed with life-long friends. Her warmth, compassion and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. May her memory be eternal.

In lieu of flowers, the Lorusso Family would be honored for you to donate to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
