Rose "Billie" Myers, 85, of Washington, formerly Meadow Lands and Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 7, 2025, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington, with her family by her side. She was born April 7, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, a daughter of the late William and Frances Patchell Doyle. Mrs. Myers worked for many years in the former Lombardi's Market, Meadow Lands and following her retirement, she worked part time at the McDonald's in Canonsburg. Billie was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish where she belonged to the Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a former member Women's Auxiliary of the Chartiers Township Volunteer Department. Billie loved to cook and bake and made sure to pass those skills and recipes down through her family. On May 5, 1956, she married Wayne R. Myers who died February 25, 2020. Surviving are a son, Wayne E. Myers (Nita) of Houston; daughter, Tammy Talpas (the late Darrell) of Aurora, IN; seven grandchildren, Darrell Talpas (Amber), Theresa Scott (Charlie), Melissa Griffin (Daniel), Wayne P. Myers (Ashley), Brigitte Yevins (Brady), Heather Camden and Jason Myers (Marie); 19 great grandchildren; sister, Carmie Cindric of Leesburg, FL; daughter in law, Tammy Myers of Houston; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Ernest D. Myers; sister, Marie Skodak; and a brother, William Patrick Doyle. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 Tuesday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, 300 Pike St., Meadow Lands, PA 15347. Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 S. Main St., Washington, PA 15301.
