Visitation hours will be observed at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2023, beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Rose Narcisse, a native of Loreauville, LA, and a resident of New Iberia, LA, transitioned at 8:23 P.M. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at New Iberia Manor North Nursing Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her two sisters: Nora Lee James of Loreauville, LA, and Mary Narcisse of New Iberia, LA; a special daughter: Joyce (Michael) Sorrell of Loreauville, LA; one goddaughter: Jalesha Knatt of New Iberia, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Earl Mitchell; her parents: John Narcisse and Lucy Dyes Narcisse; stepmother: Agnes Smith Narcisse; maternal grandparents: Robert and Ella Charles Dyes; paternal grandparents: John Polk and Edmonia Levy Polk; brothers: Sidney Narcisse, John Narcisse and Robert Narcisse; two step-brothers: Larry Smith, Loveless Smith; one sister: Hilda Narcisse; three step-sisters: Helen Constantine, Marylene Smith, and Annie Mae Smith; one brother-in-law: Albert James Jr; two aunts: Hurley Labauve, and Annie Mae Dyes.
Honorary pallbearers: Albert James III, Ali James, John Lee, Dwayne Lee, Bryant Polk, Sidney Narcisse Jr., Jerome James Jr., Kevin Bowser, Arthur White Jr., Jo' Cobie James, Marvin Narcisse, and Joshua Simon.
