Rose Mary Fanguy Orgeron

Rose passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 93. Rose was originally from Houma, LA but was a resident of St. Amant, LA for the past 75 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to her husband, Russell Orgeron, for over 72 years. Other than her family, she loved all sports but especially football. She loved great south Louisiana food but also trying new cuisine. She truly enjoyed being outside and especially looking for four leaf clover in the Spring.

Rose is survived by her daughter Evelyn Orgeron Afflerbach & son in law Barry Afflerbach, her 4 grandchildren Russell Templet, Tara Templet, Stacie Sanford, & Aaron Templet (Hattie Templet), as well as her 8 great grandchildren Megan Templet, Reid Templet, Nina Templet, Hunter Sanford, Abbey Sanford, Zachary Templet, Emma Templet, & Madison Templet.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Adam Orgeron, her parents Clarence Joseph Fanguy and Adele Pellegrin Fanguy, her brothers Raymond Fanguy, Alma Fanguy, Adley Fanguy, Andrew Fanguy, and Floyd Fanguy. 

Services will be held on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at Holy Rosary Church in St. Amant with visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:30am followed by the internment at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church. 

May she rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
