Rose Marie Waltemath

Rose Marie Waltemath, age 82, of Wyeville, WI, passed away peacefully December 7, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born to Harvey and Marie (Mitchell) Roddel on March 14, 1943. She was united in marriage to Harold Waltemath on September 15, 1962 in Shennington, WI.
Rose worked at the Tomah VA Medical Center for many years. She raised her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many others who became her family. Her family was the most important part of her life, she loved to cook for them daily.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Waltemath; grandchildren, Danielle (Rodney) Calhoun, Derik (Megan) Atkins; great grandchildren, Bailey Calhoun, Kathleen (Austin) Lesher, Braedon Calhoun, Landon Calhoun, DJ, Lillian Atkins, Wyatt Atkins, and Santos Calhoun; great great grandson, Stetson; siblings, Mark (Pat) Popp, Pat Abbott, and Margaret Strohmeyer, brothers-in-law, Don (Rene) Waltemath, and Marty Waltemath. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; a son, Todd Waltemath; brothers, Richard and Steve Popp, sister-in-law, Mary Waltemath and brother-in-law, John Waltemath.
A Private Burial will be held at a later date at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Shennington. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
