Roseann Kowske, 70, of Brookfield, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26th at Care-Age of Brookfield. Roseann courageously battled cancer providing inspiration to others with her spirit, toughness and dignity throughout.
Roseann (Rosie) was born in Milwaukee, WI to John and Mary Ann O'Leary on February 12, 1952. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1970 and UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Education in 1974. She married Michael Kowske on June 29, 1974 in Milwaukee, WI and shortly thereafter moved to Brookfield where they lived in the same house for 47 years. She worked as a Catholic grade school teacher for over 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who found the greatest joy in life through spending time with the people she loved.
Roseann had a deep Catholic faith and volunteered on the parish committee at St. Agnes. She was an avid sports fan and attended many games with Michael and other family and friends to cheer on her beloved Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and most recently her grandkids' youth sports teams. Roseann also enjoyed counter cross stitch, playing card games, camping and sharing stories with family and friends. She was a hard-working, selfless, kind, caring and thoughtful woman.
Roseann is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Ann O'Leary, her grandmother Rose Kosmoski, great uncle Adolph Paprocki, great uncle Clement Paprocki and daughter Caitlin Kowske.
Roseann is survived by her husband Michael Kowske, daughter Patricia (Jeffery) Andrist, son Andrew (Christine) Kowske and her siblings Jean (Doug) Kneser, John O'Leary, Kathy (Ken) Franecki, and Margaret (Leon) Glowacki. Her grandchildren Allison, Madelyn, William, & Carson will also miss her dearly.
Roseann's family would like to thank the many aides, nurses and doctors at Froedtert, Care-Age and Badger Hospice who compassionately cared for her.

Visitation and the funeral service will be held Monday, October 31, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Butler, WI. Visitation will be at 9:30 AM with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 AM. Private committal at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
