In Loving Memory Of
Roseanna Steward, age 57, of Van Buren, Arkansas, peacefully passed away at her home on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1967, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Sadie (Barnett) and Raymond Omo.
In November of 1987, Roseanna married Lowell Steward. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and family. Roseanna earned her degree from St. Ambrose University. Over the years, she held several roles including working in security at St. Ambrose, serving as a home health aide, and being a devoted homemaker. No matter the job, she approached everything she did with care and dedication.
She loved cruising in her convertible with her dog by her side, casting a line while fishing, and spending time at the casino. She embraced life with joy and adventure. Roseanna was unyielding in the things that defined her - love, loyalty, and spirit. She met life head-on with grit, humor, and a presence that never faded into the background. She spoke her truth, stood firm in her beliefs, and faced each season of life with strength and grace. There was a quiet, unforgettable power in her - one that never demanded attention, yet left a lasting impression.
She was the spark in the room, the sharp wit at the table, and the steady voice even in silence. Fiercely herself and deeply devoted, Roseanna held a love that was constant and enduring. Though she kept some parts of herself private, she gave wholly to the people she loved. She believed in family - in standing together, looking out for one another, and carrying forward the strength she instilled in those around her. She lived fully, loved fiercely, and held fast to her values. In every way, she was beautifully unyielding.
Roseanna is survived by her children: Amanda Steward and fiancé Aaron Lookadoo, Lowell Steward and Candi Steward, Nolan Steward and Thao Nguyen, Sadie Steward and Bob Simpson. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Lane, AnnaLynn, Jerimiah, Jordan, Hayden, Tripp, Carter, Ivy, Saylor, and Zane; her brother Robert McAlister; dear friends Mary Winters and Libby Armstrong; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Steward; parents Sadie and Raymond Omo; siblings Katie Omo and Johnnie Omo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Reconcile Church, 4311 Kibler Road, Van Buren, Arkansas, with Lowell Steward and Chuck Well officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lowell Steward, Aaron Lookadoo, Lane Terry, Jason McAlister, David McAlister, and Dustin McAlister. Roseanna's sweet spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
