Roseda Ann (Edie) Moffitt Zieber, 60, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly, March 6, 2025, at her home. She was born September 5, 1964, in Anderson, Indiana, and was adopted by her parents, Marsella Kay (Smith) Schrader and the late Vincent Edward Schrader when she was 13. She was a graduate of Wabash High School and earned 2 Associate Degrees from Indiana Vocational Technical College. Edie worked as the Lead Business Associate at Purdue University College of Liberal Arts. She shared her life for 23 years with her soulmate and best friend, Jon Zieber. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, her dog Baxter, and decorating her home for all of the holidays. She was a lover of rock concerts with her boys, classics with her dad, 80's on the 8's, and Jon even got her to like Country. You could find her doing crosswords on the beaches of SC and jigsaws by the fire in NC. She was simply one of the kindest people. A true "Golden Ruler." Above all, she cherished time spent with her 2 sons, bonus daughter, and Jon.
Along with Jon, she is survived by 2 sons, Ryan (Maribeth) Moffitt and Kyle Moffitt; her mother Kay Schrader; sisters Kitti (Steve) Tucker, Jill (David) Lucas, Eva (Kelly) Jacobson, Jeanne (Adrian) Arozqueta, and Paula Adduci; brother Wil Schrader; nieces Sydney (Timothy) Bennington, Ariel Jacobson, and Sydney Adduci; and nephews Josh (Makayla) Lucas, Peyton Britton, Luka and Ashton Arozqueta; and her 24-7 buddy, Baxter, her rescue dog. She was preceded in death by her father Vincent Schrader.
Memorial contributions in Edie's name may be given to Natalie's Second Chance No Kill Dog Shelter. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

Edie was at the center of our big friend group in college, always at the party, always with a shoulder to cry on and someone who was always going to have your back. What a legend!

Edie will definitely be missed. She was a kind soul and someone you could count on to be there for you, not just at work but in your times of struggle. My first memory of Edie is right after I started at Purdue. She was very patient, walking me through the rules and regulations of the business office. She took an hour out of her day to make sure I had what I needed in order to be successful in my position. When questions would pop up, she'd drop what she was doing to continue to offer support. Edie was a gem!

I worked with Edie many, many years ago at LVB. She would always bring a smile to your face and make you laugh when needed. My thoughts and prayers to her family and loved ones.

My heart goes out to Edie´s family. She was a special person. Edie was wonderful to work with and she made me belly laugh every time a spoke with her. I will miss her sense of humor. I send all of my prayers to her family and all the friends she made while working at Purdue. She will be missed.

I knew Edie from work, but she became more than a colleague, she was a friend. Edie was always there to lend a shoulder or to share a funny story. We bonded over our love of salt water taffy - but it had to be from Rehobeth Beach, DE. She will be dearly missed.
