Manville, NJ -- Rosemarie (née Incao) Fetchko passed away peacefully at home with her beloved daughters Robin and René by her side on November 2nd, 2023 at age 85.
Born to the late Rose (née Vaccarella) Pongracz and the late Frank Incao, and baptized at Sacred Heart Church, she was a lifelong resident of Manville. A vivacious, charming, and beautiful woman, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graduating from Bound Brook High School in the Class of 1956, she'd met her sweetheart Rob. They started the family which would become the heart and soul of her life.
Aside from her career as a bookkeeper/treasurer at Ruberoid and ultimately Adessa, Rosie lead a vibrant and dynamic life, uplifting not only her family but the entire community. She gave so much of herself to everyone who crossed her path, and welcomed many into her home. She always took the initiative to lead, encourage, and support others in a wide variety of endeavors.
As President of the Roosevelt P.T.A. in New Jersey and Life Member of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers, as well as while wearing many hats in and as Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts U.S.A., she empowered her own children and many others. Her roles in the Manville Youth Athletic League and Manville Recreation were extraordinary, and she was adored by both her colleagues and a diversity of ambitious children. She bowled with the Morning Glories, and invited everyone to come for a swim. She inevitably showered us with delicious food. Together with her husband Robert she established the Superstars softball team and launched her family into decades of successful games, she herself playing for years as a Petey's Pussycat.
Her dedication continued well after her kids' growing years into organizations such as the Manville First Aid and Rescue Squad Auxiliary of which she was a Life Member and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Rosemarie was a parishioner at Christ the King Church.
Rosemarie said goodbye to her beloved husband of 57 years Robert George Fetchko in 2016, and is survived by her loving daughters Robin Ann Fetchko of Manville and René Fetchko Barry of Manville. Rene's husband Kevin, and Rosemarie's adored granddaughter(s) Morgan Marie Barry remain in Manville near to big sis' Raquel Ramos, daughter of Pedro and Maria, and of course our incredible rescue dog Murphy and his cat buddies Leo and Boots.
She will be missed by two dear sisters and their families, namely, Dolores Utasi of Abilene TX, husband Jimmy, and daughter Lisa Utasi of New York City, as well as Teresa Incao of Raritan and son Alex Zebrowski.
Rosie always had a warm heart for her sister-in-law Patricia Kotyuk, son Louis Scott and their family of Manville, and for her best friend of 80 years, Joanne Krasnansky, and her wonderful extended family. Not to forget to mention a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and those we call family, especially Anthony, Antoinette, Christine, Bonnie, and Lauri. And the so many who call her Auntie or Gra'm'.
Friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, November 9th taking place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral prayer service is at 7:00 p.m. Join us to appreciate Rose at Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street,
