Rosemary Christy Neely

Rosemary Christy Neely, age 76, passed away peacefully with family by her side in the afternoon of November 11, 2025. Up until the end, Rosemary maintained her spunk, humor, appreciation of beauty, and love for her family and friends. Rosemary was the heart and soul of the family. She was always giving her time to others and incorporated that into the loving, generous, and selfless way she parented her three children. She was active in the community by being involved with the Ar-Ken Youth Football organization, Valley Viking Cheer squads, running the concession stands, participating in booster clubs and PTA, and much more! Rosemary was thrilled about becoming a grandmother as her grandchildren were her pride and joys whom she adored. Her friendships have always been very important to her, and she maintained lifelong friends. Rosemary enjoyed traveling, dessert, dancing to the Beatles and Motown music like no one was watching, going out to eat, and spending as much time as she could with her family.

Rosemary was born in 1948 to Frank and Irene Christy in North Bessemer, PA. She attended the newly formed Fox Chapel High School and Edinboro University. She was an integral part of Cookson Peirce & Associates for over 20 years.

Rosemary is survived by her sister, Karen Smith (the late Jack); brother, Frank Christy (Marilyn); her three children, Melissa Barr (Kevin); Sarah Anthony (Robert); and Robert Neely, as well as her four grandchildren, Wyatt Barr; Addison Barr; Kamden Anthony; and Kira Anthony.

Friends will be received Sunday, November 16th from 3-6p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue Oakmont, where a service will be held Monday, November 17th at 11a.m. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren. While losing her leaves an ache that will never end, her light and love will always shine brightly in our hearts.
