Rosie M. Jones, age 78, of Hobbs NM peacefully entered the eternal glory of her forever home on May 11, 2025.
Rosie was born February 28, 1947, in San Carlos MX to Andres and Jovita Garcia. She lived an exceptionally full life; she was married to James “Rocky” Jones” the one true love of her life for 49 years. Rosie invested her lifetime devoted to her husband and children; she thrived being a lifelong homemaker catering to her family. Rosie will be remembered for her powerful unwavering faith for the Lord. Anyone who knew her knew she loved the Lord and would go out of her way to preach and talk to them about Jesus no matter where she was, but most importantly Rosie will be remembered for being a gracious and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister aunt and friend. Rosie’s pride and joy was always her family and being Mimi to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rosie was an active member of the New Life Fellowship Church where she cherished every moment spent there with her church family.
Rosie is preceded in death by her husband James D Jones, parents Andres and Jovita Garcia, sister Eva Gonzales, brothers Michael, James, Alfonso, and Thomas Garcia.
Rosie is survived by her beloved children; daughters, Brenda Duran and husband Freddy, Jo Ann Paige husband Mark, Tammy Gonzales husband Johnny and Son Jeremiah Jones and wife Sherry, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers Andy, Saul, Luis, Hector and Rudy Garcia and sister Norma Jaquez and her best friend of many many years Linda Tuggle and many extended family members and friends.
Though her life has ended, it is not in her death that we should dwell but instead rejoice and remember her smile and her laughter.
We are grateful for the time we were given; grieved by the time we no longer have; empowered by the knowing that we shall see her again healed and whole.
Special thanks to the staff of Midland Medical Lodge and the staff of Hospice of Midland and especially the church family and friends that played a part in helping in any way, shape, or form. The family is forever grateful for the prayers and kindness shown to our beloved beautiful Rosie Jones. She will forever live in our hearts and be immensely missed!!
