Rosie Lee Smith, affectionately known to Family as Rose & "Ro-Lee", was a native of Mobile, Alabama, born on January 2, 1960 to Lucy Hardy, who preceded her in death. Rose was a strong believer in Jesus. She confessed Christ at Liberty Baptist under the leadership of Clyde Maye Jr. in nineteen-ninety, where she was part of the Women's Ministry and a song leader of the choir. Rose loved music. Rose recently retired from Crowne Healthcare after thirty-nine years of service, where she shined bright as an Aide, later tranferring as an activity coordinator , where the residents had a chance to hear her beautiful voice and be blessed with her sweet undying spirit. Rose husband, of twenty-one years ,Victor Bernard Smith preceded her in death. Rose was blessed to be raised by her mom and dad, John Hardy Sr., who preceded her in death and Fathered by Edward "Red" Pettway, who also preceded her in death. Rose departed this earthly life on January 2, 2026 , with her entire family by her side. Rose was also preceded in death by a son, Private First Class Rodney Hardy, four Siblings, John Hardy Jr., Patricia Lett, Antoinette, and Sharron Bright. Rose leaves to cherish her memories, three Children, Michael Hardy, Taiwan Hardy Sr. and Ingrid (Bo) Morris, 12 Siblings, Mary Graham, Ruther Purdue, Jacqueline Russell, Gloria Pettway, Jennifer, Paula, Becky, Pamela, Andre, Peter, Perry and Paul Hardy. Nine grandkids, LaJuan, SaMya, Taiwan Jr., Tailynn, Ta'Liyah, Tamir, Titan, Kaitlyn and Kaleigha. Eleven step-kids and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, coworkers, friends and Church Famliy.
