Roxy Thomas Carleo

Roxy Thomas Carleo, born December 29, 1950, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, love, and service to others.
Roxy married the love of his life, Debra, on July 21, 1973. High school sweethearts, their marriage was a true partnership built on devotion, laughter, and shared values that endured for more than five decades.
Roxy is survived by his beloved wife, Debra; his brother, Edward Carleo (Karen) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and his three daughters: Renae Manuel of Montrose, Colorado; Liana Way (Brian) of Centennial, Colorado; and Elizabeth Gee (Thomas) of Castle Rock, Colorado. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to six grandchildren: Ashlyn and Rocco Manuel; Tessa and Eliza Way; and Lila and Shae Gee, each of whom brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two infant sisters, Constance and Josephine; his brother, Dennis Carleo; and his son-in-law, Tom Manuel.
Roxy dedicated more than 30 years of his life to education, serving his community as a teacher, principal, coach, and football and basketball referee. He was passionate about guiding young people, believing deeply in the power of education, mentorship, and teamwork. His impact extended far beyond the classroom, touching countless lives through his leadership and encouragement.
In retirement, Roxy embraced life fully. He cherished time spent following his grandchildren's activities and enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, golfing, and camping. Whether on the road or outdoors, he found his greatest happiness surrounded by family and nature.
Roxy will be remembered for his steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. His legacy lives on in the many lives he shaped and the family he loved so deeply.
A mass will be held January 9, 2026 at 2pm at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Conejos, CO. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society through Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs,
