My dear American Family...
Roy Austin was a great man in my eyes.... A kind and generous, intelligent man who gave me a template for what a good Christian man could be. My world is richer for his life.

Sending my sincere & heartfelt condolences to Dee, Lea, Lance & families
I have so many fond memories of Roy
I first meet Roy in 1980 when I was an exchange student from Australia to Russellville. Lea and I became friends after being cast in the Miracle Worker a play about Helen Keller and both Roy and Dee adopted me as their Australian daughter. We went on many trips that year and I remember visiting his sister Bobbie in Oklahoma. On my two subsequent visits to the States I caught up with the Austin“s, one was a surprise visit (1982 or 3) where Lea was the only one that knew I was coming, we managed to pull off the surprise knocking on their door in Texas in the early hours of the morning. My 1988 visit was special because my husband Angus got to meet this special family and he and Roy hit it off and we still talk about our time with Roy and Dee.
Rest in peace my friend
