Roy Haden, age 83, husband of Betty (Pike) Haden, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, October 9, 2025.
He was born in Webb City, Missouri on November 11, 1941 and was the son of the late Dr. Eric G. Haden and Gladys (Warren) Haden of Kansas City. Roy was a passenger and cargo pilot in his early years. Aviation was a lifelong joy of Roy’s. He also enjoyed cooking and was a faithful Christian.
Roy is survived by his wife, Betty, of 59 years, his son Michael Haden (Christina) of Boiling Springs; his daughter, Deborah Haden (David Luke) of Laurens; his sisters, Betty Perdee of Belton, Missouri, Rita Fowler of Depoe Bay, Oregon, his four grandchildren, Steven Jeffrey (Ashley), Nicole Penland (Zack), Jacob Haden, Tom Jeffrey. There are three great-grandchildren, Parker Jeffrey, Paisley Jeffrey and Aspen Penland.
He is also survived by many other loving extended family members and dear friends throughout the country. The family is not planning any services at this time. A celebration of his phenomenal life is being planned for the near future.
