Pamela “Pam” Dost Arries, age 76, widow of Richard Arries, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community.
She was born on October 2, 1949 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was the daughter of the late Robert B. Dost and Marion Werkmeister Dost.
Pam was a dedicated military spouse and mother, accompanying her husband throughout his service assignments. She was a “prayer warrior” and a faithful member of the Harvest Anglican Church. Pam was always thinking of others; making a point to call and check in on them. She enjoyed celebrating holidays with her family, especially Christmas, and found joy in caring for her dogs and cats and watching old movies.
Pam is survived by her son, Rev. Christopher Arries and his wife Gayle of Pendleton; her daughter, Rev. Suzy Sullivan and her husband Corey of Greer; her six grandchildren and her four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 57 years, Pam is preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Judith Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held at Harvest Anglican Church on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Travis Abercrombie and Rev. Christopher Arries officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service. A committal will be held at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Pam with memorials to Harvest Anglican Church, 1636 Bethel Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
