Roy dedicated 34 years of his life to his career at Continental Tire. He was fiercely protective of his family, loyal to those he loved, and a devoted Saint Louis Blues fan.
He is survived by his loving significant other, Kimberlin Rector; daughters, Morgan (Ryan) Stone and Christina (Colton) Bauer Greer; and his cherished grandchildren, Cooper, Jasper, and Mollie Stone and Caid and Cameron Greer. He is also remembered by Kimberlin's children, Dalyn, Justi, and Holden; his sisters, Jane Porter and Kathy (Tim) Price; as well as nephews, Joseph Fleri, Danny Fleri, Johnny Fleri and niece Andrea Stone.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents.
In honoring Roy's wishes, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to 4 His Glory Trade School.
Roy's strength, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home 601 South 42nd Street Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 pm with Pastor Jesse Webster officiating.
