Roy "Dale" Melton, age 59, of Wann, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Ascension St John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dale was born on February 22, 1966, in Enid, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Wanda (Moore) Melton. He graduated from Copan High School in 1984 and later earned his electricians license from a technical campus.
On June 7, 1986, he was united in marriage to Terri Blevins. From that union two daughters, Kaci and Melanee were born. The family attended church every Sunday. They made many fun trips to Branson, Missouri and Colorado. Dale took his girls hiking, repelling and ziplining at Osage Hills and Elk City. The couple would later divorce.
Dale was a very hard worker. Throughout his life he became a jack-of-all-trades. During the late 1980's he served as a Police Officer in Claremore, Oklahoma and Dewey, Oklahoma. For several years he worked alongside his father, Kenneth, in the oil field. He worked as an electrical lineman and industrial electrician.
On July 29, 2016, he married his best friend, Alicia Scott in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The couple made their home in Wann, Oklahoma. They have been members of Convergence Church (formerly known as Life Point Church) since 2017. Together they formed Touch of Life Ministries in February of 2019. Dale has touched so many lives through the ministry; offering a warming center during the cold months, gathering donations for the children going back to school and providing them with resources, operating a thrift store and every Christmas providing dinner for those in need. He loved to travel all over on his motorcycle with Alicia; you could often find him riding with the local American Legion Riders and with his Christian Motorcycle Association family. Dale didn't like to sit idle, he filled his days with martial arts, fishing, hunting, camping, and anything that involved getting out and enjoying the outdoors. He cherished the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends.
Surviving to honor his memory are his parents, Kenneth and Wanda Melton of Cotton Valley, Oklahoma; loving wife, Alicia Melton of the home; daughters, Kaci Rigdon and husband, Layne of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Melanee Streets of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; step daughters, Melody Baxter and Natalee Baxter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-son, Marshall Foreman and wife, Tiffany of Wann, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jace, Gracie and Noah Rogers, Isabella, Aurelio, Roman, Kannon Foreman, Kane Foreman; sister, Kerri Kastler and husband, Mike and their children, Austin and Dakota of Derby, Kansas along with numerous extended family members and many close friends.
