Roy Howard Swink, age 30, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
Roy was born on Easter Sunday, April 11, 1993in Rutherford County to Charlotte Jowers, who resides in Forest City and to the late Jimmy Swink Sr. Roy graduated from Chicopee High School in Alabama. He loved to hunt and fish, and to work on trucks. Roy was a loving son with a big heart, who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Durham Swink, and Bo Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Charlotte and his stepfather, Joel Jowers; one brother, Jimmy Swink, Jr. (Cheryl); sisters, Jennifer Guffey (Nathan), Tonya Varnadore (Jonathan), and Sara Swink; a grandmother, Marie Swink; and an uncle, Steven Swink (Rochelle).
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
