Jimi Lynn Harrison, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away at home. She was born in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, to James and Elizabeth Harrison.
Jimi is survived by her daughter, Tara (Jason) Mashburn, and two granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother, Branson (Wendy) Harrison, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She had a career in accounting and was skilled at cooking, kept an extensive garden, and enjoyed traveling to visit friends. Over the years, Jimi lived in many places, including several towns in North Carolina, as well as Colorado, Michigan, Niagara Falls; Canada, and Florida.
A remembrance service and the spreading of her ashes will take place on September 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the Heintooga Overlook near Maggie Valley, where her ashes will be spread in a place of natural beauty. After the service, everyone is welcome to join us for a get-together at The Valley Tavern at The Smokey Falls Lodge.
She will be remembered by her family and friends.
