Roy Gerald Williams

Roy Gerald Williams, age 95 of Canton, passed away Sunday. Born in Paradise, Missouri to the late Roy E. and Phyllis (Fuller) Williams, he was also preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Williams Spees, sisters Shirley Ann Weber, Ruth Strahm, brothers Keith and Paul Williams. He was raised in Viroqua, Wisconsin and earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from Minnesota Bible College, a Master of Arts degree from Lincoln Christian University, and a Masters of Ministry degree from Kentucky Christian University. His ministries were in Staples, MN, Cleghorn, IA, Oakland, Ill, Norton, OH (33 years), and Solsberry, IN. In his retirement, Gerald preached at the Tower Lakes Chapel. Gerald is survived by his wife of 74 years Laura G. (Woodard) Williams, children Karen (Daniel) Dyke) Jonathan (Carol) Williams, son-in-law Peter Spees, seven grandchildren; Alissa, Heather, and Colin Dyke, Stephanie (Phil) Collier), Kelly (Danny) Scarito, Scottie Scarito, Hollie (Alex) Johnson, six great grandchildren and sister-in-law Patricia Williams. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10 to 11 am at Canton Christian Home Chapel with memorial services to follow at 11:00 am.
