Royal William Pollitt JR.

Royal W. Pollitt, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, in Vero Beach, FL, at the age of 85. Roy was born on August 1, 1939 and raised in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx.
Roy graduated from Iona College, and had a long, successful career as a commercial real estate banker. He and his beloved wife, Jean, raised their family in Stony Point, NY, where they were active members of Immaculate Conception Church.
Roy's family was his greatest joy. He never missed attending his kids' games and loved taking them to cheer on the Yankees. Some of his favorite times were in Hampton Bays – catching fluke off his boat Little Blue and barbequing for friends and family. Roy loved meeting new people and was happy to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone. He loved any excuse to throw a party.
Roy retired to Vero Beach, where he was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed retirement, making great new friends and memories.
Roy is survived by a loving family, including his wife of 59 years, Jean, daughter Jeanine McGuinness and her husband, Jack, daughter Maureen Zaback and her husband Chris, son Roy Pollitt and his wife Jenn, daughter Elizabeth Paisner and her husband Eric, and grandchildren, John, Sheila, Bridget, Andrew, Cara, Emmy, Ryan, Will, Jane, Evie, and Teddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Mary Pollitt, and sister Grace Pollitt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 910 Boston Post Rd., Rye, NY.
