R.P. Lebow February 2, 1971- June 8, 2025 Anahuac, Texas
RP, Reuel Parks Lebow a loving husband and father, passed away June 8, 2025, in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Born in Liberty, Texas, R.P. lived a life full of adventure and love. The family will be hosting a celebration of life at Sterling White Funeral Home Monday.
R.P. proudly served his country in the Navy as an ABH3-Aviation Boatswain's Mate Aircraft Handler Petty Officer 3rd Class, working as a crash and salvage-recovery crew and firefighter on the flight deck of the U.S.S. George Washington CVN-73. He was also part of the pre commissioning crew PLANK OWNER from October 15, 1990 to October 11, 1994. He spent 3 years and 2 months serving on the sea. During his time in service, R.P. earned numerous decorations including: a National Defense Service Medal, a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, a Navy Unit Commendation, Southwest Asia Service Medal, 1st Good Conduct Award for his time in service, and a letter of commendation.
When R.P. returned from his duty, he launched himself into the oil and gas industry, working his way up from and operator to turnaround ops planner. During his 28 years in the industry, R.P. made connections and friendships making the term "work family" true for him. R.P. worked tirelessly to provide for his family, taking pride in being able to give his wife and children every experience they wished for.
R.P. cherished time with his family and finding treasures on his worldly travels. He was happiest in the outdoors with his sons and family hikes. If he wasn't half way across the world on a beach or in a jungle, he spent his time trying to better himself: reading self-help books, learning other languages, and fostering his love and conviction for fitness.
R.P. was the best dad, who was incredibly proud of his family, taking any chance to speak about their accomplishments.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brock Lebow, and his mother, Wanda Jean Lebow.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Lynn Lize Lebow, his daughter Carmon and husband Anthony Zuniga, and his son Bryce Matthew Lebow. Loved ones also include his parents: Reuel Parks Lebow Jr. and wife Brenda, siblings Chris Wallace and wife Kimberly, Nickie and husband Sandro Alfaro, along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
R.P. will be remembered for his honesty, generosity, kindness, and sarcastic sense of humor. His wisdom and compassion were gifts to all who knew him. We will commemorate the joy that he brought into the world, but not neglect to reflect on his pain, learning from it and becoming better for it.
