Ruben Quintero, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Florence, Colorado, at the age of 61. Born on October 25, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas, Ruben embodied joy and laughter, known for his vibrant personality that could light up any room. His infectious humor and jovial spirit made him the life of every party, bringing smiles to those around him.
Ruben was a devoted family man, cherished by his wife, Mary Delores Solis, and his son, Ruben R. Quintero. His role as a loving father was one of his greatest joys, ensuring his family was always surrounded by warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Ruben's commitment to his loved ones extended beyond immediate family; he shared a profound bond with his siblings, including Susie Q. Lopez, Esperanza Q. Amador, Terry Q. Landa, Danny D. Quintero, Francis Q. Contreras, Mariana Q. Sotelo, Norma Q. Alanis, and Paul D. Quintero.
In times of need, Ruben was always the first to lend a helping hand, embodying the essence of kindness and generosity. His legacy of love and friendship will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ruben often joked that he had nine lives and was on his second cat.
Ruben is mourned by his wife, son, and siblings, while he joins his parents, Adolfo and Sara Quintero, his brothers Albert D. and Rodolfo D. Quintero, as well as his nephews Ralph Q. Contreras and Gilbert Q. Amador, and brother-in-law Augustin Amador who have preceded him in death.
As we remember Ruben Quintero, let us celebrate the joyous moments he created and the love he freely shared. His laughter and spirit will forever remain in our memories.
The family requests donations to be made to Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels on 3520 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78204, (210) 533-5300. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM and Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels at 3520 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78204, with a Prayer Service to follow at 1:30 PM. Family and friends will follow in procession to San Fernando Cemetery III for Ruben's graveside and committal services.
