Rubi Kaye Robertson, age 3, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2025, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, IN.
Rubi was born on August 23, 2022, and in her three short years, she brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and love to all who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of Autumn Robertson and stepfather Bradley Hayes, and her biological father, Kris Tesch.
Rubi had a big personality and a heart that seemed to shine everywhere she went. She loved animals-especially dogs-and could often be found swinging with a bright smile that lit up the world around her. She cherished her time with her Papaw and Nana, loved making crafts at daycare, coloring, and playing and pretending at her ice cream and cake shop. She enjoyed reading and flipping through her books, and treasured every moment spent with her cousins. Rubi was known for her happiness, kindness, and her loving nature-always smiling, caring, and never missing a chance to tell people she loved them. She was a bright light in many lives and will forever be remembered for her warmth and joy.
Rubi is survived by parents Autumn Robertson and stepfather Bradley Hayes, and her biological father, Kris Tesch, her brother, Robin Robertson; step-siblings Penelope Hayes and Kylo Hayes; her Papaw Dale and Nana Jeanette Robertson; her grandmother Shelia Robertson; aunts and uncles Brittany (Justin) White, Amber Robertson, Samantha (Michael) Stevens; cousins Breanna Lucas, Lincoln White, Layla White, and Atlas Stevens; and her great uncle Rick Wagner.
