Ruby Inez Ball

Ruby Inez Ball, age 70, of Council, Virginia passed away Monday (February 9, 2026). Born May 25, 1955 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Grover Kelly and Nellie Bise Ball. A lifelong resident of the Russell and Buchanan County areas, she was a member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and crafting, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Justice.

Survivors include her companion, Henry Pruner one son, Jerry James and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Emily Morgan James; sister, Peggy Miller and her companion, Donald Reedy; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jason Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery at Council, Virginia.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.
