It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we grieve the loss of baby Ruby Renee Ballengee. An angel too beautiful to stay with us here on Earth. Ruby will forever be held in the hearts of those that loved her so dearly and patiently anticipated her arrival. Precious Ruby entered her heavenly home Friday, February 14, 2025 at Avita Health System- Galion Hospital, with her courageous parents being with her.
We wished for a baby, but God gave us an angel instead. We lovingly honor the very short time she graced our lives and will continue to cherish the memory of sweet baby Ruby. The burden of this loss will forever imprint on our hearts and weigh heavy on our minds. This special child touched many lives, and we take comfort in knowing Ruby is now watching over us from beyond. Our hearts will take time to heal, and we appreciate all the prayers and positive thoughts during our time of grief and loss.
Ruby is survived by her loving parents, Christian and Samantha (Gunder) Ballengee of Shelby; her two brothers, Oliver and Jack Ballengee at home; maternal grandparent Sharon Gunder; paternal grandparents Suzanne Ballengee and Joe Iannaggi; maternal great-grandparents Edward and Regina Craft; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that were anxiously awaiting her arrival.
She was greeted with open arms in Heaven by her paternal Great Grandparents Charles and Ruby Bonecutter.
A private family graveside will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angel Gown Program at https://nicuhelpinghands.org/programs/angel-gown-program/
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the labor and delivery staff at Avita Health System-Galion Hospital and the entire Barkdull Funeral Home staff for their care and warm compassion.
