Ruby Faye Morris Barringer, 81, of Gold Hill, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at her home.
Ruby was born July 11, 1943 in North Carolina to the late John Alfred Morris and the late Eva Odessa Earnhardt Morris.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 3:00pm at Matton's Grove Methodist Church in Gold Hill officiated by Rev. Martha Hayes.
Survivors include husband of 61 years, Brad Barringer of the home; sons, Mark Barringer (Anitra) of Richfield, NC, Matt Barringer (Sarah) of Gold Hill, NC, John Barringer (Shanda) of Gold Hill, NC; grandchildren, Coley Barringer, Zachary Barringer, Gunnar (Kelsey) Barringer, Mattie (Wyatt) Eudy, Karlie (Zach) Grice, and Gage Barringer; great-grandchildren, Avery Barringer, Briar Barringer, Griffin Grice, and Parks Eudy; and sisters, Nellie Little, Julia Williams, and Shirley (Truman) Williams.
Ruby had a love of helping other people and loved her church family. She was a lifelong member of Matton's Grove Methodist Church. Ruby was the primary organizer of a group called "The Roadrunners" who look care of widowed ladies in their community - doing fun activities and field trips together. She was the "Queen Bee" of her Red Hat Ladies group. Ruby enjoyed making homemade jack pies, noodles, and mints - especially for the Sawtooth Oak Farm Hunt. She enjoyed country music and country gospel music. She also enjoyed going to the Alabama Theater and Greg Rowles Legacy Theater while spending time at her North Myrtle Beach condo. Ruby especially loved spending time with her grands and great-grands.
