Ruby Elizabeth Payseur Hallman, age 100, of Kings Mountain, passed away peacefully October 14, 2025, at White Oak Manor. Ruby was born September 2, 1925, in Gaston County, to the late Clarence and Barbara White Payseur.
Ruby was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved watching Westerns. In her earlier years, she liked golfing and teaching dance, specifically line dancing. She was also an avid camper and loved taking her family on camping trips.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Bain Hallman; son, Joel Bain Hallman; and brothers, Kenneth Payseur, and Paul Payseur.
Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Hallman Hullender, of Kings Mountain, and Elaine Hallman Huss (Johnny), of Iron Station; grandchildren, Amy Huss Cook (Jeffrey), Taylor Hullender Byars (Brandon), Chase Hullender, and Ryan Hullender; great-grandchildren, Jordan Cook (Breanna), Kyle Cook, Emersyn Byars, and Blake Byars; great-great-granddaughter, Rosalie Cook; and beloved dog, Scooter.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Keith Huss officiating and Ronnie Brown assisting. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM, prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
