Ruby Dean Haynes

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Dean Allmond Haynes, East Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2 PM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Georgia 29 South in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Church Cemetery.
Ruby Dean Allmond was born on Sunday, May 26, 1940, to the late Robert and Hallavan Reese Allmond in Centre, Alabama, She was raised in the Howell Cross Road Community before her parents moved to Savannah, Georgia. She was educated in the Cherokee County, Alabama, Public Schools and the Chatham County (Georgia) Public Schools where she graduated from the A. E. Beach High School in 1959.
Ruby married James Haynes on March 30, 1968. The couple had two sons, Van Dexter Haynes and Sean Maurice Haynes. Ruby enjoyed shopping and watching gospel programs on television, and she loved spending time with her family. She was employed in the Dublin City Schools as a para-professional until retirement. She became a member of the Zion Hill Church Incorporated, where she sang in the choir, president of the youth birthday club, was a missionary, and the member of the kitchen committee.
Ruby passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert "Jap" Allmond, II, Charles "Lefty" Allmond, and Harold Allmond.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband, James Haynes of Dublin, two dedicated sons, Van Dexter (Genee) Haynes, Sean Maurice Haynes, both of Atlanta, two loving grandchildren, Tyree Bishop of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sean Haynes of Manhattan, New York, two sisters, Marilyn Peal of Atlanta, and Gwendolyn Godfrey fo Savannah, and one brother, Earl (Willie Mae) Allmond, a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
