Ruby Skaggs Obituary
She was born on June 2, 1937, in Johnson County, KY, to the late Roy and Dixie Fyffe Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her long-time companion, Elden Williams.
Survivors include three daughters: Diana Castle of Paintsville, KY, Dana (Brent) Skaggs Tucker of Macungie, PA, Dinah Skaggs of Paintsville, KY; one son: Rick (Dianna) Skaggs of Staffordsville, KY; one brother: Kenneth (Hannah) Hamilton of Volga, KY; seven grandchildren: Michael Daniel, Anthony (Amy) Daniel, Alex (Hollie) Castle, Brandon Skaggs, Brooke West (Channing Brown), Bryent (Amanda) Tucker, Collin (Gabrielle) Tucker; nine great grandchildren: Austin Daniel, Jaden Daniel, Savannah Castle, Trey Arnett, Tim Daniel, Lola Claire Brown, Liam Tucker, Ava Tucker, Charlotte Tucker; five great-great grandchildren: Caden Daniel, Elijah Daniel, Addison Daniel, Paisley Daniel, and River Daniel.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 12 Noon Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Tobe Wheeler and Rick Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Staffordsville Church Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M.; on Monday from 11 A.M. until 8 P.M.; and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 12 Noon.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with all final arrangements for Ms. Ruby Janice Hamilton Skaggs.
