Rudolph "Rudy" Beerle, 97, of Schenectady, NY went peacefully to eternal life in the afternoon of August 10, 2025.
Rudolph grew up in Colonie, NY and attended Mont Pleasant High School where he was a spirited multi-sport athlete, playing football, baseball and running track & field. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp twice and fought in WW2 and the Korean War. He eventually worked in corporate for A&P markets & Price Chopper.
A calm & collected man, Rudy was known to be the coolest guy in the room. He was quiet and quick witted at the same time – always laughing, and enjoying whatever life had to offer.
Rudy was married for 63 years to his beloved wife, the late Joan Beerle, who he is now happily reunited with. Their marriage stood the test of time – a couple you looked up to and wondered how after so many years together, they could still make each other laugh like they had just met. They spent their later years traveling down to Atlantic City, becoming President's Club members and living large at the casino. They shared all their experiences with their family and brought along all to enjoy alongside them.
Rudy's life was filled with adventure, style and fun. He showed up to every event dressed impeccably – always in a dress shirt, even if it was to just go over to his niece's house to eat his favorite dish, pasta Bolognese. He loved watching sports, playing golf and was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Although he has passed on, he will be remembered as an amazing man who brought happiness to all of those around him.
Rudy, also known to those who loved him as "RuRu," was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Mauro) Beerle, loving uncle of the late Tina (John) Audino and Michele Mauro-Tartaglia; a cherished great-uncle of Monique (Paul) Vellano and Nicolette (Gabe) Audino; a fun-loving great-great uncle to Pauley, Coco and Johnny, along with many friends, all of whom will miss him beyond measure. Services will be held privately.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
With confidence, the family has placed their trust in the loving care of the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, and they encourage you to view and leave messages on Rudy's Book of Memories at www.TownleyWheelerFH.com
